What can YOU Bring?
Check out the Music Backline List, and let us know what you are able to bring.
People's Playlist / Eclectic Lounge
Each Kinnernet participant is hereby requested to provide 3 tracks by one of this methods:
- Easy - paste them in the Participants page
- Cozy up to the DJ - Enter them directly into a playlist at Playlist.com, user=KinnernetUSA, password=Bolger
- Non-mainstream / Hi-Fi - bring them on an MP3 (or audio CD)
This playlist will be shuffle-played to accompany mainly loungy and possibly louder music opportunities.
The idea behind the People's PlaylistTM school of DJ thought is that at any given time there would be at least one person in the room really digging the music - and able to answer "who was this?". .
Questions? Bugs? Email Self-titled resident DJ: Edo Amin or comment below.
Ideas from past kinnernets:
* The Kinnernet Music Band
* Solo Performance
* "Dueling Banjos DS" (Duo performance, not solo)
* "Cool on the Lawn" Ethnic Ensemble
* Kinnernet Electronic Ensemble Playing urban beats at the Kinnernet late-night underground party
* Acoustic Lounge
* Live Band Karaoke: During the performance of the Kinnernet Music Band on Thursday after the Gadgethon, we will offer the unique "Live Band Karaoke": Just ask for any song, we'll Google the chords and the lyrics, and you can sing it right away, accompanied by the Kinnernet Music Band
* Drum Circle: We want to organize a "Drum Circle" where people can bang the beat and feel the heat. If you have suitable drums that you can bring, please list them below
Edo Amin - shaker
Gil Weinberg - Turkish Darbuka

I'll be happy to lead the band. I've done it before in Kinnernet in Israel. What I don't understand is how you actually sign up?

That's a great idea. Do you have a lot of salsa music? Maybe you can create a playlist and we'll play it and dance to it?
Other people can create playlists for dancing in other styles: 70's funk, or 80's pop-rock... and so on...
