Come impress the camp nerds with your exquisite cuisine and a matching costume!

 

Chefs, get help with costumes here, ask for help and get ideas!

 

When night falls upon Kinnernet camp the cooks bring out their goods to the Midnight Cooking Madness

 

We are planning the madness to start every night at 10:30, with set up and the cooking academy, where you cook and others learn how.

If have a great recipe for a midnight snack, if you want to show off your family's age old treat, this is the right place for you.

FYI:

 

  1. Please sign up by May 1st (at the latest!). :
  2. Two evenings: Due to popular demand (and a lot of hungry bellies) we are hold MCM on the Friday and Saturday night. Please choose which night you’d like to cook and keep in mind what the other people are cooking so that we have a good variety of dishes on both nights.
  3. Ingredients: You will be responsible for providing all the ingredients. Please check out this MAP of supermarkets close to camp
  4. Utensils & Equipment: We will provide all the utensils and equipment needed to facilitate the cooking. Please be sure to list everything you need on the wiki.
  5. Costumes: To add a little spice to the cooking we’re encouraging everyone to pair their dish with a costume of your choice.
  6. Tips: Please plan to cook for c.75 people, keep the dishes simple, easy to cook but with a creative twist.

Not sure this fits - I make one of the best Labane's (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Labane) in the world IMHO... However, between preparation and eating it has to drip for ~24 hours. So we could prepare it on friday and eat on saturday maybe... what do you guys think?... is this a good fit?...

I just signed up with my Hummus-with-a-twist (courtesy of my dear friend Gil-li) - no chickpeas will be harmed during the production of the green hummus.

Jay - go ahead and write up what it is that you need - we'll see what we can get together. burners, grills will not be a problem. will look into oven.

hi Gali, I put myself and Shai Zurim for 3 types of Tahini on Sat night more than a week ago and our section has mysteriously disappeared.. any idea? we are supposed to buy all the ingredients tomorrow so I need to know ASAP if you guys have utensils etc... I put the request for the tools and other requirements more than a week ago and I just realized it's all gone.
